LIVE & ELECTRIC ONE NIGHT ONLY | EVERY LIVING THING SINGLE LAUNCH
On Saturday July 27, Steve Balbi returns to Melbourne for one night only – exclusive to The Fyrefly, St Kilda – to launch his new single, ‘Every Living Thing’. Shining a little sunshine upon the night is very special guest, Jak Housden.
Affirming an evening of sentimentality, sunshine and soul, live ‘n’ electric, Balbi will covet the stage accompanied by a cacophony of creative chameleons, featuring Jak Housden (Tim Minchin, The Whitlams) on guitar, Mick Skelton (Baby Animals, Thirsty Merc) drums, Fenix Martinez (Boney M, Christine Anu) piano and keys, and Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals, Jimmy Barnes) on bass.
Rarely ascending the stairs from the studio this past six months, Balbi will launch ‘Every Living Thing’ with a new set of songs that transcend new material from the forthcoming LP alongside reimagined out-takes revived from his lasting catalogue of cultural fair.
Indeed, taking barely a moment’s respite from his phenomenal year of touring with The Whitlams and Tim Minchin – Back, Jak Housden will open the night, providing a window into the world of new material from his first solo album in more than 15 years.
Navigating a wistful path from melancholy through madness, the launch of ‘Every Living Thing’ at The Fyrefly on Saturday 27 July promises to be a remarkable evening – so few and far between, it is a show not to be missed.
