The Fyrefly is massively excited to present a rare appearance by Dan & Chris Brodie - The Brothers Brodie back in their old St Kilda stomping grounds!
Come and be regaled with musical tales of youthful adventure, heartbreak, love, loss and life on Friday, 9 November 2018 7:30 PM.
Although the setlist has not yet been revealed to us, we expect a mix of the best from double Aria Award winning singer songwriter Dan Brodie (Broken Arrows, Grieving Widows) and some Dallas Crane rockers from his gun slingin' brother and rock n roll scoundrel Chris.
Dan revealed to us that he performed at Newmarket Hotel [St Kilda] in the early 90s with his teenage band "Smokin' Judas". So you never know, maybe we'll get a Smokin' Judas tune along with some songs from his most recent and highly recommended album "Lost Not Found."
"Fresh out of the suburban wasteland of Glen Waverley where we had earned our apprenticeships playing at 16th birthday parties, Battle of the bands, School Socials and footy clubs, we played off and on at The Newmarket for about a year, performing to a mixed bag of characters and other 'performers', learning a few hard lessons and getting a taste of St Kilda life at the time; far different to the shows we had performed in the outer burbs up until this point. Now having toured internationally several times over and realising a career in rock n roll, it's great to be back, a little more worldly, but hopefully wiser!"
